Meet the Castellos

Steven and Amy could not come from more different backgrounds. Steven grew up in a small town outside of Birmingham, AL.

Amy was raised in Salcha, AK. This probably raises the question, "How in the world did you two meet?" After serving in Alaska for two summers as a Summer Missionary with the North American Mission Board, Steven was soon called as the interim youth pastor at a church in Fairbanks, AK where Amy was attending. They realized quickly that they were supposed to be together and married in August 2005.

Steven and Amy have four daughters, Lily (10), Addisyn (9), Karis (7), and Amelie (5). Steven served in youth ministry with churches in Alaska, Colorado, and Arizona before moving back to Birmingham to plant a church. He planted and has served as one of the pastors of Immanuel Church for 7 years. They were able to plant a healthy, growing, multiplying church in the hard-to-reach downtown area. Immanuel is now ready to send the Castello's to plant again.

Steven has always had a heart for New England. After subsequent trips to and through the Boston area, he and Amy were overwhelmed with the lostness and need for churches that preach Jesus. It was clear that the Lord was calling them to Boston with a vision to plant a church. Currently, Steven is raising prayer and financial support for this new work. Lord willing, the Castello's will move to Boston in August 2018, enter a year long residency, begin building relationships and reaching out to the community. They hope to launch this new church in Fall 2020.
